With Crown Town Compost, I crafted a vibrant, approachable brand that transforms composting into a community-driven movement.

Crown Town Compost was born from a shared vision to make food waste diversion simple, impactful, and fun for the Charlotte community. As co-founder, I developed the brand’s visual identity and strategy to reflect our commitment to sustainability with a sense of local pride and approachability.

The brand identity began with a modern, minimal crown logo—nodding to Charlotte’s “Queen City” moniker—paired with hand-drawn illustrations of playful food scraps like banana peels and apple cores. These custom elements brought charm to compost buckets, apparel, and promotional items.

I designed a user-friendly website that highlights the importance of food waste diversion, showcases services for homes and businesses, and makes composting easy to start.

Through cohesive visuals and thoughtful strategy, Crown Town Compost quickly became a trusted name in Charlotte’s sustainability movement, empowering the community to transform food scraps into something magical: nutrient-rich compost.
