Partnering with the Dog Jog's sponsor, I crafted an engaging event identity that celebrates movement, community, and the bond between people and their dogs.
Charlotte’s Dog Jog is a fur-friendly 5K and fun run designed to celebrate the joy of movement, the energy of dogs, and the sense of community they inspire. Partnering with LendScout, a Charlotte-Based mortgage lender, I developed a full brand identity for their marquee community event.
The Dog Jog's visual identity centers around its the logo, a playful dog illustration that evokes the idea of happy pups in motion. Paired with bold, modern typography and a vibrant palette of navy and blues, the brand strikes a balance between energetic and approachable.
The tagline “Run Like a Dog” became a cornerstone of the identity—playful and memorable, it reflects the uninhibited joy dogs bring to a run, as well as the hard work that (human) runners put into training. I extended this theme across event collateral including posters, flyers, and merchandise like t-shirts and stickers, ensuring every design reinforced the event’s fun and community-driven purpose.
With strategic, thoughtful branding and clever storytelling, the Dog Jog not only brought Charlotte together for a day of fitness and fun but also strengthened LendScout’s visibility and community connections, turning a simple idea into a shared celebration of joy, energy, and companionship.
